We fondly remember our classmates

Louis James Van Otteren Lansing, MI Age 58, died suddenly at his home on January 7, 2004. Louis was born on July 21, 1945 and was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He was a dedicated worker to Olofssons and his farm. He lived life to his fullest and adored his family. Louis loved camping, fishing, woodworking, and snowmobiling. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marguerite Van Otteren. He was happily married for 36 years. Surviving are his wife, Sue; children, Connie (Brad) Kach, Patrick (Tanya) Van Otteren, and Ted (Rene') Van Otteren; grandchildren, Mick, Ally, Abby, Amy, Emily, Megan, Cole, and Alex; and his sister, June (Martin) Parr. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment followed in East Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Audubon Society in memory of Louis J. Van Otteren.
